I saw that there was already a lot written about problems with Lg Smart Tv. I have 2013 model of Lg 60LA8609-ZA. Until this April I could connect normally to server, now it is impossible. It happened already in the past that I could not connect to the server and then after some time it worked again properly. Are there some problems with older Lg-s and new updates. I have also newer model of Lg -(year 2018) and Plex work without any problems.
I tried already with :putting manually IP, closing firewalls, ect. and nothing changed, I still get massage : can not connect to the server… In the past everything start to work normally after 2-3 months. (no changes, nothing)
Would that be the old LG Netcast TVs? If so, then you are using LG Plex Connect which hasn’t been supported in a long time. It’s possible that a recent PMS broke something, but considering it’s such an old app, I doubt there will be a fix.
Thx for your reply. I checked the version on Lg , its Plex 2.2.0. My Lg is also updated with version 04.28.17. The problem is, that this happened already in the past and after some time start to work normally ……without any changing of some settings … any idea would help… Thank you
Yeah, that’s a really, really, old version. The only suggestion I have is to roll back to an older version of PMS. My guess is that a recent PMS works differently that the old app doesn’t like so it can’t connect.
You’ll need to find an old version. Plex does not provide those. Check your PMS appdata folder. There should be an “updates” folder where PMS downloads before it does an update. You may still have an old version there. Then it’s just uninstall the current version and install the old one.
