Not sure what’s happening, but my Samsung Serif suddenly stopped playing episodes of Dragon Ball Z when I have the second audio track selected. The episodes are encoded as MKV containers that have two English audio tracks, and one Japanese.
All tracks are HE-AAC, and the first English track (Funimation dub) is set as the default audio track. Both the first English track, and the Japanese audio track will both play, but the second English track (Remastered dub, with original score) causes the episode to not play. The server will recognise the episode as being accessed, but there’s no CPU activity at all when I try to direct stream the episode.
When I go into the episode settings, and turn off Allow Direct Stream, however, the episode begins to play, and the server dashboard indicates that it’s now transcoding the episode. This behaviour is espeicially peculiar, as every other device I have (including another Samsung TV running the same version of the player, just on platform 5.5) will play over direct stream with no problems.
Attached logs to see if anyone smarter than me can make sense of this!
Server Version#: 1.40.2.8351
Player Version#: 5.80.0 / platform 6.5
