Can't find field to specify Plex Media Server data location any more. Used to be in Settings

Server Version#: 1.19.3.2740
Player Version#: N/A

I have searched the forum to find what I recall as the field to specify where you want the server metadata to be stored. I moved mine to another drive quite a while ago, and I remember being able to specify the path. It still works fine, but I now need to move it to another drive. The forum threads I have located say to go to: Settings, Server, General, Show Advanced, and the field will be there. That field is no longer available under General, and there is not a specific “Server” list any more. I have looked through all the Settings sub-lists (General, Remote, Agents, etc.) and can’t find the field to specify the server data location anywhere. Any help would be appreciated…

Plex Media Server 1.19.3.2740 is now available in the Beta update channel

FIXES:

  • (Security) Remove the Windows AppData path preference from the web app (#11355)

From what I understand you can still change it manually through the settings in your registry.

LocalAppDataPath

Values:path
Description:Set the location of of the Plex Media Server data directory (Windows only).
Example:D:\Data\Plex\Data

Thanks Tom. I should have thought of that. I do find the LocalAppDataPath key with the right path to my custom directory. Sounds like all I need do is change that key to the new path, right? Wonder why they would remove such an obviously important path variable?.. Guess others don’t care if the database is taking up much of their respective System Drives. I would think with the use of SSDs for system drives it would be obvious to keep the ability to change that path using Plex Server Settings… Maybe you could suggest they put it back? Thanks…
