Cant find or load driver for nuc

Hi, ive installed the latest plex onto the latest debian, and having trouble working out how to install the driver for intel iris.
I can see the transcoding not using HW. &vdec_hw_status=0

$ lspci -nn | grep VGA

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Iris Plus Graphics 655 [8086:3ea5] (rev 01)

$ /sbin/modinfo -F filename lshw -c video | awk '/configuration: driver/{print $2}' | cut -d= -f2
/lib/modules/4.19.0-5-amd64/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915.ko

ive googled for hours and cant work out how to install the correct driver.
Can anyone help please?

what is the processor and which distro, including version, is loaded ?

I think you over-thought this when it wasn’t necessary.

Intel® Core™ i7-8559U CPU @ 2.70GHz
Distro is Debian latest

cat /etc/issue

Debian GNU/Linux 10 \n \l

There are issues with 10. “Buster” leans toward “Busted” in several areas. (it’s freshly released)

PMS brings everything it needs but if the kernel can’t detect it properly, PMS won’t.

I will need to see the DEBUG logs of an actual Playback attempt showing what PMS & the transcoder attempted.

Thanks for the help, its really appreciated.
I’m at work right now but will grab a log tonight.
Would it be easier for me to change to Debian 9?
(Its not a problem to do so).

I would recommend it. Debian 10 is only 2 weeks old. I recommend waiting at least until after the first major update at minimum.

I couldnt install debian 9 as the drivers for the NUC lan interface are not included.
Ive done some digging and looks like im stuck with 10.
I include my logs, but if i have to just wait then so be it.
