My Android App updated to the new rollout that I’ve been reading about. I have not seen any information anywhere about where the Video Playlists can be found. I’ve searched all over the app and all over the forums and cannot find anything about this. Please help. I use the Video Playlist extensively.
Playlists should be listed as a tab in each library (which has media assigned to playlists).
There’s no longer a central/global Playlists section.
Found it. Thank you so very much.
Very disappointed that you removed the central/global Playlists section. Now the app is quite frustrating to use. What’s your workaround for this removed, invaluable feature?
Personally, I’m usually going with the “Library Playlists” hub on the home page or library recommendations. But I usually only use playlists to shuffle some random episodes from certain shows I haven’t seen in some time… so that’s barely 3-4 playlists.
Therefore, I’m not sure I agree on the “invaluable feature” part.
Keep in mind… I haven’t removed anything and I’m not offering this as a workaround.
I’m just another user who happens to be a forum mod and this is just my personal 2 ct.
Thanks, but that seems to only brings up a list of Playlists linked to that specific library. I had more than 2 dozen playlists across probably 40-50 libraries. The global Playlist was my starting point in using the app every single time.
The problem, as I see it, is that the software engineers don’t know how all of the users use the app, so when they redesign it the app becomes a piece of excrement for some users. It’s less convenient for me than it used to be, but, fortunately for me, I don’t use the app on phone or tablet and the PC version, thus far, still works as it had. I suppose they’ll trash that, though, before long. Still, I don’t find any other media server I like as well.
The new app design sucks and needs to be changed back.
