Cant get hw transcoding to work

I have a proxmox server with a xeon 4210 processor and nvidia quadro p400 graphics card installed, plex was installed to the server in a ubuntu 20.04 container with hw transcoding enabled and everything was working normally for the last 10 months. Yesterday i decided to update container to 22.04 but kind of screwed that up so i decided to start over with a fresh install of ubuntu 22.04. I installed the container, installed latest nvidia drivers and confirmed they are working with nvidia-smi and lspci commands, then installed latest x64 package of plex from the website. I checked the box next to “use hw acceleration when available”, i also have plex pass but when i try to transcode a movie i still see software transcoding in dashboard and my cpu usage jumps to 90%. Am i missing something here ? Did something change between ubuntu 20.04-22.04 to break transcoding?

There are issues with 22.04. Please see Ubuntu 22.04 Packaging - development & preview - #90 by DjidaneJex.

Thx for the fast response, i tried the last message from that thread but it didnt work either. I guess i will have to wait for an update…

The packaging is in final form and has been submitted to QA for release.

It just doesnt transcode with my nvidia p400 anymore, i was able to use it on ubuntu 20.04 yesterday. I made a clean install of ubuntu 22.04, confirmed my container can see gpu and uses proper nvidia drivers with nvidia-smi and lspci commands, checked the box next to use hw transcoding in settings. When i start a movie it still tries to transcode with cpu, the logs says

don’t know if u may want to know this but i use windows and a recent update last months or so stopped HW from working gone crazy before trying to uninstall the update and that’s worked. Terrified of updating now, currently having only certain x264 failing to initiate HW
i do hope u get to the end of it i know its frustrating
