Can't Get LIVE TV ON PLEX To Show In LG Plex App

I received notification of the new LIVE TV on Plex option and found it easily in the player version that runs on my windows machine but can not find it anywhere in the menu of my LG Plex app. I have the MOVIES & TV on Plex option on the LG. Do not have the LIVE TV on Plex option. I have checked that the ONLINE MEDIA SOURCES - LIVE TV option is enabled but still do not find it available on the LG. Any experts out there? I need to check the Samsung TV to see if it’s there but that’s in another location.

This doesn’t seem to be available on smart TVs as of yet. Hopefully it will come soon.

Tbh these channels look identical to what is available on Samsung TV plus so if you have a tizen Samsung I don’t think you are missing much.

Thanks, explains a lot. Also works in Windows on my computer, not listed on the support page. Too bad they aren’t real live TV channels that we get locally, DirecTV would be history over night.

I have both TV brands. Plex Live TV works on the Samsung TV even without an account. Not so for the LG TV. I found your thread because I have the same problem. It appears LG will probably not allow LG users to access the Free Live TV feature from Plex. Perhaps this is because LG already has the free extended “channel plus” benefit. I would prefer to have Plex Live TV though since it is part of my Plex subscription. I am going to still ask Plex to reach out to LG to fix this issue.

Not real familiar with who actually does the programming for the TV app support. If LG is expected to program for the plex app then there is a good chance it might never get done. If, however, Plex people are programming the apps that support the different TV’s, guess we just need to give them time to get the job done. I tend to think it is the latter. Maybe we’ll get some feedback…
