Can't get Plex docker server up and running since getting Plex Pass

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2935-79e214ead-ls107 (at least, that’s the number showing up in Portainer - not positive if that’s the same version number you’re looking for here)
Player Version#: 8.9.2.21619 (Android app)

Hello! Yesterday I took the plunge and finally bought a lifetime Plex Pass subscription. I don’t know if that caused my issues, but I don’t believe much else changed. Since getting the subscription, I haven’t been able to get into my Plex server. When I tried to get to any of my libraries, I got the “No soup for you error”, saying I didn’t have access.

I tried deleting the specific lines in preferences.xml as described in this support article, and when that failed, I deleted the whole preferences.xml file - likewise to no avail. I also deleted everything from authorized devices, thinking that would help reset something.

I also tried recreating the Plex docker container, and doing so with a new claim code, but that didn’t work either.

Now when I try to navigate to my server’s webui, I see: “Please wait a moment while Plex starts.” followed by: “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.” It then recommends me to visit the forum and provide my logs. Unfortunately since I can’t actually get past this screen I’m not sure how to get my logs, but if someone can guide me I’ll post those as well.

In the Plex log in Portainer, though, I see a couple errors:

curl: (28) Timeout was reached
Unable to claim Plex server. Either manually claim by connecting to http://serverip:32400/web from the same network subnet, or recreate container with a new claim token.

and

Error starting framework core for /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins-d87012962/MoviePosterDB.bundle.
Error starting framework core for /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins-d87012962/LastFM.bundle.
Error starting framework core for /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins-d87012962/TheMovieDB.bundle.

For the latter set of errors, the solution I found online was to delete the contents of my Plug-ins folder and let it redownload them. I did that, but the error persists and it’s not redownloading them.

If someone can help me out here, I’d be immensely grateful! Or at the very least, if you can tell me how to back up the most important bits of the server (metadata, watched/progress info, etc.) then I can at least delete it all and start with a fresh install.

Thank you!

I found out by installing the bionic version of plex on portainer

That actually works, thank you! Any idea what the difference is?
