Can't login to plex media server using admin user name and password

hello team,

i was access to plex media player using admin user name and password. but now admin user name and password is not working , because once someone request to join our media server i have to login with admin account and accept them, what is the isuue is not working ?

The Password for your QNAP and the password for your Plex account are two distinct passwords. Is this the confusion?

no , actually both passwords are same. but login user names are different .

Assuming you have normal access to your QNAP via ssh.

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Enable SSH access to the QNAP
  3. SSH (using putty or ssh) to it
  4. When logged in, you need to be in directory "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server"

is there any way to reset my admin password for plex media server? because i tried this all ways and i search in plex forums also , i can find anything related to my request.

You can reset the master account password by signing into Plex.tv -> Account -> Setttings.

While you are there changing the account, it makes good sense to Check the Box to sign out all devices.
This way you don’t have to hunt down which is signed in with the old password.

Everything I read takes me back to this same screen in the system. Big problem is it wants my current password and I don’t remember it. I’ve tried deleting the system, redownloading the setup files but it’s like the new install already knows about me. ID’s are still there, plugins are still there, etc.

What else can we do?
