How to change the plex user in my QNAP

Hi everybody.
My problem is (please help):

  1. I Have a QNAP PlexMediaServer with one free user
  2. I bought a full Plex Pass user (diferent user that the old one)
  3. I delete the Plex installation in my QNAP in order to put my new (and full plex pass) user
  4. Reinstall Qnap in my Plex but the old user appears.

I don’t know how to delete the old user in my QNAP to use a new one. Anybody can help me? THANKS!!!

  1. run the server and open Plex Web (e.g. https://app.plex.tv/desktop or https://your-server-ip-address:32400/web)
  2. in the top-right corner, click on your user name and select Logout; alternative: click Logout in Settings > Server > General
  3. you’ll return to a screen where you can login with your new account and claim that server (should be Settings > Server > General as well)

This was my first shot… but the web stays “looking for servers” indefinitely

at which step?

The last one.

  1. Logout my old user -> ok (I don’t like QNAP rememeber my old user when if I deleted Plex Server, but it’s ok).
  2. Login my newuser
  3. Looking for server indefinetely (now I am restarting QNAP)

make sure for step 3 to use the local IP address and not app.plex.tv

http://192.168.1.2:32400/web/index.html
And the Plex Media Server is running in this IP of course arghhhhhhhhhhh

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I paid for a full plex pass and now I coudn’t use it!!!

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh it works (trying again and again) muahhhh
THANKS tom80H!!!

The instructions above only told you how to log out the web app (which is separate from the server).
Log in with the old credentials.
Then access
Settings - Server - General
There, log out.

Then put in the new credentials.

Afterwards you’ll have to log out the web app (as instructed first above) and log in to the new Plex account.
Reboot the NAS for good measure.
