Can't play Plex on any Apple device

Player Version#:8.29 (7486) on tvOS 17.2 (21k365)

Started this morning where only Apple devices cannot play anything on Plex; includes Apple TV and iPhones (14 Pro and Plus)

I have found a workaround.

If I move a duplicate movie file into the folder in mp4, delete the mkv file and do the Plex dance, I can move the mkv version back and it will play.

I don’t know enough to read the logs nor the console entries and I would really appreciate some help from @support here.
