Can't play TV Show collections on Android Players

I’m having issues when trying to play collections from a TV Show type of library using Android players. Testing on a browser, it plays just fine.

  • The issue only happens on my TV Show type library;
  • Movies collections play just fine;
  • These are smart collections;

The error presented once I click play is:

WARN - [Req#402] QueryParser: Invalid field 'checkFiles' found, ignoring.

Are you getting an error in the player on Android or is it just a spinner?

Does it happen for you with regular TV collections as well?

No error, it just spins forever. I had tv collection enabled in my TV Shows library properties but none was created automatically.
I manually created a regular collection based on Genre and still got the exactly same error.

Player Version#: 10.11.0.183 (Android and firetv)

TV collections do not play on Firestick or Samsung Fold 4.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a TV Collection via desktop
  2. Try to play a TV Collection using Firestick (or Android)
  3. Shows loading spinner and never plays

Collections WILL play on desktop OR when casting.

Any ideas?

@Cheet0s I moved your post over to this existing on about the issue. We do have a bug report for it but I do not have an ETA for a fix.
