Firstly, thanks for reading - I feel like quite the noob posting this. Am a huge fan of Plex btw!
I’m not sure what email address my account is associated to but the other day I went to go on Plex and I’d been logged out (for the first time in months). I know my username, but it requires an email address to reset the password. I tried my main email addresses, to which it sent some emails allowing me to reset passwords, but then I log-in and its a new account, not the one under the username I know.
What to do, any advice?!
You may have chosen the ‘Google’ option when you logged in.
This has created indeed a new plex.tv account.
You need to remember your plex user name from before.
Log out of the web app.
then log in using your plex user name.
Don’t click on ‘Google’, but use ‘Email Address’ instead.
put your old plex username into the input field for the email address.
