Hey there any and everyone, I’m just looking for some help i went into the advanced settings in my library and switched it from Plex TV Series to Plex Series Scanner and when I try to change it back it just keeps giving me “your changes cold not be saved” message on the bottom. Also I have 2 episodes from a series that just will not show up no matter what I try. I’ve tried deleting them emptying the trash then a rescan of the library. Then reload them back up and do another scan where it find four of the 6 but never the last 2 any and all help would be appreciated, thank you in advance

Try changing the agent, instead of the scanner.
Tried that, still says it cant save. 
I would check your database for corruption. In your server logs the plex media server.log will generally have a line with “corrupt” in it. If it is that you can restore a database backup.
I’m not sure what sort of system you are on but not finding files could maybe be permissions, if not improper naming.
Went through my plex media server logs and there wasn’t a sign of corruption some warnings but no corruption. I checked permissions and all the files in the folder have the same permissions. Also, with the naming of them they’re named s01e01…to s01e06 all under the name of a folder that’s the name of the show and the first four episodes come up fine, it just doesn’t show the last two. Then I renamed all the files in the folder with the name of the show s01e01 to s01e06 all with the name of the show in front of those and once again only the first four show up.
So the episodes showed up today when I reloaded them again and rescanned. The problem with changing the scanner back to the Plex TV series scanner or changing the agent will not save though and I’m at a loss as what to do for that because I really like using the Plex TV scanner for their automatic TV posters.
Are you on windows? You can just download the 8 stalker and run it again. It will give option to repair install. If on Mac just replace what it in applications folder

I used the installer to repair and I’m still getting the message “your changes could not be saved” when trying to switch from Plex series scanner to Plex TV series.
Also IDK if this matters but I am running the Plex media server and not just Plex.
I am dealing with the same issue right now and its not fun at all…
I have these exact issues in that I cannot get all episodes (Six Feet Under) in the same folder to show up. I have 13 episodes in the same folder 1-13 and it only finds 10-13. I have 5 seasons and the same issue with all the seasons. When I go into the folder all 13 are there all are playable and all the same format of .mkv. I had this issue as well earlier with another series but though the download was bad.
I also tried changing from Plex Series to Plex TV series and I am getting the same message “your changes could not be saved”.
Really frustrating.
So a work around I found as far as the episodes not loading up is to load the series onto a flash drive then delete it off the pc and empty your garbage on plex and on the pc. Restart and load them back in. Make sure they’re all labeled correctly. Idk if it matters but I did wait 24hrs to load them back onto plex. As for the plex TV series idk I’m still having issues but you can go show by show and do the tvbd search under match or fix match but it will be have to be done manually and show by show which is really what I was trying to avoid lol. Hope this helps!

What language is set for the library on the General tab when editing the tv library. I see Invalid language errors.
