Plex, Sonos speakers/amp, laptop, and phone are all running on the same subnet. I have setup the Plex integration on the Sonos side and using the Sonos app on macOS and Android, I can play music from my Plex server. However, I can’t even see the Sonos speakers from the Plex or Plexamp apps on Android or the Plex app on Mac.
I cannot follow the instructions at Link Your Sonos Device to Your Plex Account because Plex and Plexamp for Android don’t even show the Sonos speakers as possible targets. The Google Chromecast devices are visible from both Plex and Plexamp. Strangely enough, the Chromecast targets also disappear if I switch to another app on my phone and switch back.
Both Plex in Chrome 122 on macOS and the native Plex app on macOS have completely disabled the button to connect to any other players. Spotify on both Android and macOS can see the Sonos devices without any trouble. And can stream to them as well.
What am I missing?
