Can't setup new plex media server

I got a new PC and installed plex media server on it, but I can’t seem to set it up as the media server, it’s still looking for my old PC which I no longer have access to… Now when I click on the “+ Your Media” button on the left panel to add media, it asks me to download Plex Media Server but I am already using exactly that… The interface also seems to have much less buttons than before, can someone please advise how I can do a complete reset on my account with my new PC?

Don’t do that. It is unnecessary and will bring more trouble than good.

Start with removing the old server from your account here: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms

Then perform this procedure (to the letter): https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
When doing this, make sure you are using a standard web browser and not some hacked version which suppresses parts of web apps, like Brave etc.
Disable any web browser add-ins
disable any VPN software.
Make sure the hosts file of your machine has no Plex-related entries in it.
