Hello All. I have been using Plex (Pass) for a while but my internet was down yesterday and I noticed it would not allow me to use it (i.e.: watch videos on my computer library using Apple TV Plex - all in the same local network). I have the latest versions of both the server and Apple TV client.
Is that by design? I assume its for ensuring payment is up to date but that is really frustrating when the ISP is off…

You can always access your server locally by using its local ip address:32400
Yes that works well for the wrb client but it appears other clients connect via your plexpass login to plex.tv this is crazy as you say if the net is down no local media you should get a few grace days to alow for these outages.
I keep a spare ‘server’ connection defined in the client… A manual connection by LAN IP. it works well for me. NOT ideal as I lose Plex Pass when my internet goes out but better than nothing since DNS is also down and all extras requiring the internet are gone anyway.
