Cast a picture slideshow with music

The slideshow feature in Plex is VERY weak in my estimation. There’s no way to control the timing or transitions and there’s not even a randomize or loop feature. So maybe I’m asking too much, but here goes: I’d like to have the ability to play music while the slideshow progresses. I know that I could start another app to do one or the other, but I want to be able to Chromecast the result so it has to be in one castable app!

Should not be an impossible task but I doubt we’ll ever see all this in Plex. Anyone know of a way this could be done currently?

Plex has no control for slideshow timing or transitions. I don’t have the Chromecast device, but on Plex Web, Roku, and PMP, you can start a music playlist (in-order or shuffle), then start a photo slideshow (in-order or shuffle), and have both playing simultaneously. There is a shuffle option, but no repeat (the Web app has Repeat) on Music playlists.

Hello, that would be very useful! Honestly the slideshow feature is useless to me just because i can’t play Music at the same time!
