Photo slide show with music

Pardon me for starting here . . . For comparison, iTunes (which I dislike) can perform slideshows with music set to run in the background, whereas Plex, I believe cannot.

This is a issue for me in two areas 1) When I’m working in my studio I like to run a photo slideshow containing inspirational photography of other artists work, and some of my own, with music in the background. 2) A couple of my clients have gotten use to seeing their projects development progress (in the iTunes slide show fashion) on my big screen. Often while enjoying a Scotch

This issue (for me) by no means dilutes my love of Plex which I consider a miracle!

But it sure would be nice to have these slideshowfeatures - Happy New Years to Y’all - Best, Bob

At least some Plex apps (Web, PMP, Roku, and nVidia Shield for sure) will allow you to start a music playlist, then start a photo slideshow, so both run simultaneously. Not as easy as setting up a one-step launch, but workable until this happens.

So I have a Audio Library for Christmas Books, I have a Audio Library for books in other Categories. It would be nice if Each Audio Library had it’s own “Enable Slideshow” option where you select a folder full of backgrounds you want to cycle through while you listen to your audio category. So with my Christmas Audiobooks I could select my Christmas Backgrounds folder on my pc, and while the book is being read, Christmas images are cycling through. Better than just a blank Gray screen.

On my TV i would like to start a music playlist and then look through picture playlists

maybe have PIP to show music that is playing
