Cast your vote for plugins

Also would love airplay support (not sure if this is considered a plugin but would be great!)

Just in-case unfamiliar: airplay from iPhone/iPad to plex.

Would love to see a plugin to wrap a more flexible/generic liveTV solution.

EyTV etc. are tied to specific hardware.

MythTV & DVBLogic solutions allow for far greater hardware flexibility.

I’m aware that Live TV as a core component is more than unlikely. However, wrapping existing solutions as a plugin should be the way to go.

I’m not sure if this is something which has been covered, but an annoying ‘feature’ of the Youtube plugin is age-restricted videos: Even when logged in you still cannot play them. Is there a reason for that? Though the workaround of loading up Safari and playing is fine, it is a bit irritating.

The fact that some videos really didn’t need to be age-restricted is another problem entirely!

TiVo!!! Unless I just couldn’t read anything before this post, I may be the only one to mention it. I do know that there already is a TiVo channel, though since the TiVo platform got an update itself, the latest release doesn’t function well. Also to note, the current version is Mac only. I’d appreciate a PC release! Sure, it installs fine in the plug-in folder regardless of OS, but whoever worked on it last noted that it was only functional on the Mac side. I think having that to stream recorded content from the TiVo would be a HUGE compliment to the PMS itself.

Myth TV’s recent update includes HLS support. I’d like to run the PMS and MythTV backend on my server, and utilize a Plex client with a plugin that could use the Myth TV’s HLS stream to watch live tv.

Any chance there could be some development for the client to utilize the myth tv backend?

I would like to see support for google music.

Amazon, no-brainer! And then second, Pandora.

The Pandora plugin is currently available in the Channel Directory. It does require a paid Pandora subscription since the only way we can access the audio in a Plex-friendly format is via the paid-subscription API.

I agree with you on that, except, I’d move NHL to the bottom of the list until they figure out the CBA.

You have probably run across this already, but this feature seems to be at least somewhat present in XBMC and their code is open sourced.

I think you can find most of the relevant stuff (or at least a starting point) [in this section of their git repository](https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tree/master/xbmc/network)

A quick look at this indicates that it might be too ambitious for a plug-in, but I would really love the feature in Plex!

Good detective skills. I'll look into it but, TBH calling my C-skills "weak" would be generous. So, don't expect any quick progress on that front. However, since those other guys have implemented it, we may see it appear if/when the Plex team do a code re-sync.

Shouldn’t the multi country supported plugins get a higher weighting than the US only ones?

There are just more people there to vote for US ones

The "weighting" is purely based on votes. If the US has the greatest number of paying PlexPass members who care about plugins, then it's no surprise that US-content plugins get more votes. I can't say for sure but, it seems that there may be non-US users that care about US-based content too ;)

Of course the weighting is only a guide as to what users see as important. Feasibility of achieving what users want is an entirely different matter. As mentioned in the updated OP (and elsewhere), some things are just not currently achievable no matter how many votes they may get :(

Thanks. That looks like a great starting point. I'll have a read through and see where it leads me.

Sky Go (Germany) would also be interesting

Plugins are one of the most promising, yet least reliable aspects of Plex. it is all too common that a series or show I try to watch through a plugin doesn’t’ load.

Thanks for the input. Can you be more specific with the issues you're having with the plugins (other than Netflix)?

I for one like to see DI.fm added.

My favorite streaming music provider.
