I do have the flex pass mainly to be able to cast music from Plex to my Sonos speakers. I can play music on the pc but as soon as I select one of the Sonos speakers everything stops and i get the error message that item could not be played. From Sonos, I can see the Plex library. I have authenticated multiple times but no luck. Given that i got the pass for this specific purpose, I hope you can solve this or orherwise provide a refund. Look forward to your help.

In Sonos, I get the following message:

you need remote access to be working to allow the Plex → Sonos connection. Yours seems to be having issues.

I had remote access configured as it should and from Sonos I could access and play from Plex.
Still , i setup the remote server again using the default port and it started to work.
So thanks for getting me in the right direction

You logs imply you are using the UPNP method to port forward which can be flakey (though that may just be being implied by the logs as things were broken). Manual port forward will be much more stable.
That indeed is what I did the first time. Your earlier response triggered me to do the manual route which changed it for the better. I tried it away from home last night and yes, it worked as expected. Thanks once again, issue can be closed ![]()
I do have the same issue and wonder why I need to enable Remote Access to solve it.
As I understand it, this would open Plex to be accessible from the Internet (outside of my network), a thing I really do not want to happen.
As the NAS on which Plex is running and where the music is located is in the same network as the Sonos speakers, this should not be necessary, should it?
Thanks, Mario ![]()
