Categories not showing on Plex player

I run the Plex Server and a Plex Media Player on the same machine. And for some reason, two of the categories do not show up on the PMP. Not as pinned, nor when I try to view all.

Both categories show up when I check my plex server on the web, or when I access it from the Plex HTPC app from a different machine.

And as far as i can read on teh forums, reddit and other sources, it seems noone has the exact same issue. To me, that just means I probably missed the posts about it, and am sorry if I double post!

Plex Media Player is ancient and has been discontinued quite some time ago (iirc it was last updated in May 2020).
There’s 2 successor apps:

  • Plex HTPC — as desktop app for big screen scenarios
  • Plex for Windows — as regular desktop app

Wow, that has passed me by utterly.
Thanks for the reply, and updating to Plex HTPC solved this particular issue. Even if it raised a whole host of new ones.
