Certificate errors trying to login and using my plex

For 2-3 days now i have not been able to use my own plex server. I cannot even login into plex.tv with my account. In Firefox an error message displays saying there is a certificate mismatch. Asking me to trust a *.aws.micromata.de cert. It doesnt work anyway. It seems my IP is somehow blacklisted, preventing me to access my own server, not even locally. Im typing this on a new laptop using another internet since nothing works, not even trying to sign in here and ask for help.

The plex server logs just show this over and over again:

Nov 17, 2022 21:58:03.223 [5876] WARN - [HttpClient/HCl#4a8] HTTP error requesting GET Sign In | Plex (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘plex.tv’)

What can I do to fix this?

@BigWheel

The lack of being able to Sign-in to plex.tv at all implies an issue beyond PMS caching a cert , is that correct?

@enhet you might need to power cycle every device on your home network, then verify your PMS computer can do DNS name resolution and secure connections by issuing the command

curl -v https://plex.tv

Please copy the output and paste it into a code block </> in your reply, thanks,
and tell us your network structure with IP details.

Would need logs to confirm but sounds like a DNS rebinding or CORS issue on network. Certs work with plex.direct url which is not plex.tv. A look at account does not indicate anything is blacklisted but i am asking others to take a look.

I power cycled my router, fibre converter and my computers. Everything is working now again. Afterwards, I also got the new login page at plex.tv with the new logo, so I assume my router cached wrong DNS or something too long. Thank a bunch! :slight_smile:
