Change how plex sees end of movie

Hi, I hope I don’t confuse anyone trying to explain it, so I’ll be descriptive as possible. I captured some game movies and put them together to watch. it runs roughly 21hrs (I know a lot). when I get near the end (about an hour left) and I stop playback, I guess plex thinks it’s the end and will not resume, forcing me to fast forward through 20hrs of video to get back to where I left off. is there a way to disable or change plex seeing the end of the video? I looked in the setting but couldn’t find anything, I am running plex on mycloudpr2100 nas device.

There’s currently no means to set your own threshold or disable this behavior.
However, there’s a feature suggestion addressing this (though it got little attention/support so far):

[Feature] Provide a way to resume near the end of a video

There needs to be a way to resume a video when leaving off near the end (or even near the beginning). A simple idiom would be that if the user pauses the video before pressing back or stop that it always saves the resume position, no matter how near the end the video is. If the user exits the video without pausing, then then normal “you’re near the end so we’ll mark it as watched” algorithm kicks in.
