I have a Plex Pass and want to change the e-mail address associated with my Plex account. When I go to my account settings and click on change e-mail, it asks for e-mail and password. I created another Plex account with the new e-mail and entered that info here. It says “invalid password”. Both my old and new e-mail addresses are verified. Can’t I simply change my e-mail address? This is so confusing! What are the exact steps I need to take here? Help!
That was the mistake.
In order to switch the email address of an existing account, you must use an address which hasn’t been used in another account recently.
Log in to this newly created account (you better use your web browser’s “incognito” mode) and delete it.
Wait one month.
Then try to change the email address of your regular account again.
Or before deleting the new account, change the email on there to something else, thereby freeing it up.
