I have Plex running on a Container on Truenas Scale (4 x 2TB drives), it was all going fine until I changed the IP address for all containers to be different from the NAS, now every time I switch on the TV I have to enter the IP address manually, it is fine once connected.
But if I exit the app or switch off the TV and enter Plex, it will show a red X next to my Plex server’s name and I have to delete the server and enter the IP address again (every time).
It connects and everything is fine.
I have deleted the app from the TV and reinstalled it but it never connects like it used to before. Any ideas?
I am not sure how I did that, all I did in networking was add another IP address and in the Kubernetes Advance Settings set that to be used by all of my containers.
I deleted the extra IP address and reverted them to use my one IP and it works. The IP addresses are only one digit apart (192.168.0.202 - Truenas and Containers were all 192.168.0.201) and they should all be under the same subnet (24) from what I understand. I am currently reading up on networks, subnets, bridging and NAT.
My TV and Truenas are all connected to the Modem directly as well.
