Hellow Plexians,

I have been using Plex for a couple of years, and unfortunately I have 2 issues right now.

  1. Since version above 9 was released, my SmartTv, does detect Plex media from my PC, but always says that the are no files, therefore, I saved version 9 installer and is the one I use to see all my media content from PC to my smartTv, why latest version is not detecting files?

  2. Te second issue and recently, is that I’m not sure if antivirus (AVG) is doing something, but sometimes I see detection of Plex in my smartTv and sometimes not, even if antivirus is activated or not, but I’m not sure why now is acting that way (remember that for this particular issue, note that I’m using version 9 as above mentioned, issue 1)

Hope someone has answers and help resolving both issues.

What is the make and model of the TV? I see you tagged LG. If this is an older LG smart TV that used the old LG Medialink, then that app cannot see the newer PMS. It’s a limitation of LG Medialink. This was created by LG and they stopped updating it.

I will get to my house later, and I will share model, but yes it is a LG brand

I’m so sorry for the time passed, however, just to have the information as I’m still using the same smart TV, the model is 42LB5800
