Changing file path of media without losing video preview thumbnails and meta data

I run plex on my UnRaid server. Currently my media is mapped as follows:

mnt/user/media/TV Shows

I want to divide the anime out, so it can be it’s own separate library. I plan on moving the files like this

Regular shows: mnt/user/media/TV Shows/TV

Anime: mnt/user/media/TV Shows/Anime

My main question is, after I make this move and add a new anime library pointed at the new directory will plex still keep all the metadata and extra files it has already for the anime or will it have to redownload it all? Also, I have video preview thumbnails enabled. So will it have to reproduce all of these, or will it know that the ones it already has go with these files even though their location changed? And if it does have to reproduce them and/or redownload metadata, will it delete the old stuff or will I essentially be doubling up on the same things?

If you make a new library everything will be new. New metadata, posters, thumbnails, etc. The old stuff will get removed automatically.

The only way to save your stuff would be to modify your database. [HowTo] Plex database modification - Moving media the right/wrong way - #89 may provide some insite.
