After Updating library location, a few video files have been moved to the trash and found "new" versions

Server Version#: 4.34.3

I recently changed my unraid volume mappings to locate each share accordingly. After doing that I updated the libraries folder location. The movies seemed to port over correctly with none of them ending up in the trash or duplicated. While my “other videos” (old family vids) file updated mostly correct, but a few kept the old path (data/old/path/location/file.mp4) and ended up in the trash. It did “find” those files, it just made a new instance of it, without the metadata / play count.

Is there a way to adjust those old file to the new file path or move those play counts over to the new file?

Anyone have any ideas?

I do not believe that the watch history for a single file can be extracted and imported to a new database. There’s just too many data points and indexes that would have to be matched up manually. I could really make a mess of things tampering with the database outside of PMS. I’ve only had to move media folders once or twice, but I manage to keep the historical data by using the method described in the linked articles. To reduce overall disk consumption I tend to do the steps one library at a time, ensuring that the library I just moved is intact with all of the watch history, then move to the next one. Using the documented approach will also keep the media from being seen as new, and it keeps all of your modified metadata entries. I hope this helps.
