I am currently in the process of optimizing a lot of different media on to an external drive. I have a couple of smart filters set up to make it an on going process (Recently Released Movies, Recently Added Movies, Movies that have the genre Family & Animated).
Everything is going well, however one of the items keeps failing. I’ve looked at the log and the error for that item is:
“No such file or directory”
When I look at the file that Plex is trying to transcode Plex is right that it doesn’t exist. It looks as though the file was changed on the server after I set up the list of Movies to be optimised. The file that is there for the movie now has a different file name.
I tried re-adding just that movie to the optimized versions list, but Plex still only looks at the original file. I would have thought for the conversion queue rather than looking at a specific media file to convert it would look at the item as a whole and find the file to convert when it came to the top of the list? Is there any way I can force the queue to look and find the new file?
