Changing "skip credits" time

I noticed that Plex got the credits timing wrong on a movie and the “skip credits” button came up way too early. I searched for ways to set this manually, but could not find any.

I saw other posts asking for this, with either no response, or a link to a help article that just describes the skip credits feature, but doesn’t say how to do what the OP asked.

The closest thing I can see to a solution is to view the XML for the movie and see where the startTimeOffset tag says the credits start, but I don’t know how to edit that file to manually set the time for the credits starting.

Is there a way to do this?

The marker positions cannot be edited directly.

What you can do, is to

• change how the detection is performed,
• change how the detected markers are used

Both is described in the linked support article.

That’s too bad. I guess I’ll have to make a feature request.

Credits are usually detected properly. It’s just this one off that’s wrong, so I don’t want to change how they’re detected across the board.

Manual Skip TV Show Intros // mod: add/edit intro markers

I am curious if there is a way the new Skip TV Show Intro can be improved to add a manual feature where you can provide say an XML or EDL file from a tool like MCEBuddy to manually define a TV Show intro. This would be handy for TV shows that do not automatically get detected by the new tool or for Shows that include a unique “Previously on” section at the beginning of the video. This would allow you to keep the “Previously on” part of the video but skip it while binge watching.
