Not sure who this should be addressed to but I have noticed that Plexconnect seems to be more stringent with compatibility checking then the iOS Plex client. For example, BBC iPlayer will appear in the iOS client but not in Plexconnect unless the PMS option "disable compatibility checking" is selected in the advanced preferences.
My question: Is this adjustable on the Plexconnect side of things? If so, should it be loosened up so it works the same as in the iOS Client?
It is not something that has been deliberately put in place by us and although we could work around it, by e.g. pretending to be an iPad, it is not a good idea.
I’ll take a look at why it’s being hidden. If there are other channels behaving similarly, please add them to this thread. Ideally, no one should have to disable capability checking.
I think the issue is that PlexConnect does not send the "Client Capabilities" header with it's requests. I'll file an issue on iBaa's github repo with an example of what iOS sends to make it work.
