Can someone explain the DVR channel mapping. It’s hard to ask the question without it sounding stupid, yet it isn’t.
I understand that Plex has to ‘map’ the actual channels from the tuner device to data that is provided with the EPG, but what is then displayed as the Guide? It is simply not clear to me what is being shown on screen and attempts to clarify this in my mind has left me more confused.
What does unchecking a channel mean?
What is a checked channel with no guide channel associated (i.e. pop-up menu is a blank)?
I am far from inexperienced when it comes to technology, but this is just not making any sense that I can discern.
