how do you add a local channel that doesn't have a mapping in the guide?

i get these channels https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KAHC-LD that don’t have a mapping within plex’s guide. They DO get guide info in the hd homerun app just fine and they tune in just fine, no glitching, but probably just don’t exist in the database that plex uses to define channels. How do you add them in plex?

i don’t mind editing a db file or ini or whatever.

I have the same problem, i have a lot of channels that the hdhomerun get but i can’t map them. I hope you will get answer.

yep same exact issue, i’d be fine if there was an “Other” option and you had to manually map it within plex and you wouldn’t get guide info… that would be a fine bandaid and take relatively very little to code

Same here, if anybody find a solution fill me in.

Has anyone figured out how to do this? My HDHR detects a lot more channels than what the Plex guide is showing. I can view them through VLC with no issue. Plex just doesn’t detect them.

I’m having the same problem I think. I’m trying to map and OTA channel to work with HDHomeRun Premium channels, so I have to select a cable provider to map the channels to, except one of the OTA channels doesn’t appear in the list of channels for the cable provider that Plex has on file even though the cable provider does offer that channel.

I’m still looking for an answer to this. There are several channels that my cable company has that do not appear on the zap2it guide. I would just like the channel to be accessible even if I can’t populate guide data for it.

Same here. Missing like 6 channels from the map that I can’t add, but tune in on my TV just fine.
