I am a long time WMC user and been using PLEX for 2 years now. I understand there are going to be “growing pains” as PLEX adds more features across so many devices. Each setup is unique and has it’s own challenges as well.
With that said, I am curious if anyone understands why it would take PLEX upwards of 10 seconds to tune a channel for live tv. I use the new PMP desktop app as well as through the web ui and 2 fire tv sticks. All of them take several seconds to tune. WMC on the other hand is under 2 seconds always and less than 1 usually. I have 3 homerun primes, 2 of them for plex and 1 for WMC to avoid tuner conflicts.
I am excited for PLEX and will continue as a PLEX Pass subscriber because my wife and I love it’s versatility, but curious if this is seen as an “issue” or just the way things work.
