I paid for the full one time subscription because I was attracted to the ability to watch global channels such as bbc and canal + as well as US ones ABC etc per the plex advertising. I have successfully downloaded them and they are all up to date however none of the channels ever work. I always get a transcoder error in playback across numerous platforms i.e. Samsung TV app, roku 4 app, xbox one app and web app. Is this an issue with development that will be ironed out in the future or is it always going to like this. If it is always going to be like this I would just like to get my payment refunded… Very frustrated!!! this would be a brilliant service if it worked but at the minute it actually worth nothing to me.
Also why cant I call someone to ask for my refund???
What type of problem are you having? You’ve made two posts and both are here. None of your posts have described the problem other than saying “none of the channels ever work”.
We’ll be happy to help you resolve this if you’re willing to provide the info and your log files (Settings - Server - Help - Download Logs) and describe & attach to your next post.
Should you prefer to simply stop and close everything, I refer you to

If you choose this route, please mark my reply as the answer to close this thread.
Logs and sample screen grab are attached. As far as saying what the problem was I did say what it was.
When I try to play any channel on any platform 9 times out of 10 it says “there was a problem with the playback” that’s all I ever get (no error code) when trying to play a channel. Sometimes it might through in something about a transcoder.
As far as refunding that link you sent doesn’t say anything about refunds for people who paid the one time $1XX.00 fee.
PS not that it makes any difference but I have 20 years of coding experience on multiple platforms and codebases… So its not as of if I don’t understand the tech! And I hate user forums…
I’m not a fan of user forums either. However, ChuckPa is a really great help for those having issues and you have his attention.
Got it. Perhaps I should have more refined in my comment. What I should have said is that I hate user forums as a way of supporting commercial applications. I understand Plex used to be a community supported platform in the linux community. However it is now firmly in the world of paid commercial services being marketed to non tech users. And as such (in my humble opinion) should have professional support channels i.e. chat/email/phone etc. I would love to be an advocate but at the minute my experiences remain a challenge. Anyway in absence of such support channels being available anyone out there who knows how I may be able to get channels working on any platform or any way for me to get my money back for non working services would be gratefully appreciated. thanks…

You are getting “403 Forbidden” errors meaning Access Denied.
I do not know your geographic location but presume this means something to you?
