Channels is missing on left panel, how do I get it?

Hello,

My Plex is up to date, but I don’t see “channels” on the left side panel. What can I do to get channels available to me?

Channels/Plugins are been depreciated
Ref: https://www.plex.tv/blog/subtitles-and-sunsets-big-improvements-little-housekeeping/

And since you are not specifying which client you use, then if a newer WebClient, select Settings-Manage where you’ll find Plugins
If using Online WebClient, then you can only access settings of the Plugins!
As such, streamin plugins are gone, and as far as I know of, only two plugins besides agents and skanners that are still working, are WebTools and ExportTools

I have the desktop install version, but I use the web to access the settings. My version is 1.16.3.1433.

I just want to be able to access channels and use OTT stream sources.

No idea what that is, unless you mean Vimeo, and if so depreciated

Channels are what I need. OTT will be do-able once I have channels. I just don’t’ understand why everyone has channels in the left panel, but me. I have plugins, but when I click on it, nothing is there.

As said, and linked towards, they are gone!

Scroll up, and click on the link I provided!

hmm, ok. So does that mean there is no “unofficial app store” anymore? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj38KzUCNvs&list=WL&index=3&t=0s this is what I had in mind with OTT.

Almost correct…

UAS is still there, but sadly, only the stuff in there been agents, scanner and a few tools now working
The rest of the WebTools modules do work however

That sucks. Ok thanks!

I notice after the newest update that it appears that all plugins have finally been deprecated… as of yesterday all of my secondary plugins were working. Today, my Windows server updated and they are all gone. There is so much functionality that I am going to miss and will have to find elsewhere now… I love my Plex server, but I had TONs of functionality in plugins that are just gone…

The same for me… If I can find in Settings - Manage - Plugins, but no way to find it in web client or tv client.
Why not just leaving it as deprecated and without support but keeping the functionality?
Thanks,

I cant find it, and Its super frustrating since even doing the settings and plugins options i cant find it

In the web client if you go into settings and turn off "Preview the new Plex experience " then the “Plugins” entry will appear at the bottom of the “home” screen.

Of course the functionality is, mostly, gone and it will become less and less functional over time.

As far as I know no recently updated client can even show that any plugins exist.

It is already turned off

Then, unless something is wrong, in the web client if you press the “Home” button and then, on the home screen, scroll all the way to the bottom of the left panel you should see “Plugins.” It works that way on my system.

As a note I am accessing my server from a different computer using:
http://192.168.xx.xxx:32400” not “Plex.TV” because of problems where the main screen keeps refreshing if I use Plex.TV

The local web app that comes with the server accessed via ip address still has the version 3.x interface and has not been updated yet. The one at app.plex.tv has the new version 4.x “UNO” interface and does not have plugins. I don’t have a date when the local one will be updated.

It does not matter to me as I do not use plugins at all. I was just trying to answer the question that was asked.

Of course I do wonder about the constant screen refreshes when using Plex.TV but that was asked, and not yet answered, in another thread that I started yesterday.

Yeah i know I was just confirming it for them. and giving the version numbers with change

I saw your topic about screen refreshes. I thought one of the other devs replied to it. I will poke them again.
