Charles III

If you want happiness turn to TMDB and leave Plex Movie (IMDB) for grabbing those 240p repetitive trailers that you can’t use anyway. In the Agent Section Plex Movie should be on top of it’s list, TMDB should be on top of it’s list with Local Media Assets at the bottom of all lists everywhere:

A Movie Library
…King Charles III (2017).mp4

OR

A TV Show Library
…BBC Drama
…Season 2017
…BBC Drama - S2017E02 - King Charles III.mp4

and you’ll get the Reader’s Digest Version of the Book as well (LOL):

Pick One.

Note: I kinda prefer the ‘Movie Version’ as well, but I do enjoy a good book - it’s a coin toss I guess.

(‘Required’ as in ‘Nobody Ever Does’, but ‘Should’, ‘If they knew about it’, now you do)

Proper naming/structuring is a requirement if you like Drama, but would rather not have it when dealing with Plex. Renaming/restructuring is best performed OUTSIDE the library and you’ll need to write a new bundle for the show or movie 'cause it’s likely Plex won’t cough up that old bogus bundle you’ve been working with so The Plex Dance® was invented:

The Plex Dance®:

  1. remove show/movie from library
  2. update library
  3. empty trash
  4. clean bundles
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200392106-Library-Actions <— update library, empty trash, clean bundles
  5. bring names and structures into compliance, fiddle around, check, double check, triple check
  6. replace corrected show/movie into library
  7. update library

All Steps. In Order. No Shortcuts.
