I have a Welsh language show called ‘Cleddau’ which is correctly named by IMDB
Unfortunately thetvdb gives it an alternative English title of ’ The One That Got Away’

Plex matches with thetvdb & displays the English title.
Is there some way of displaying the correct show title of ‘Cleddau’ either by editing the show title or forcing Plex to match from imdb instead of thetvdb?
You could try setting the language for this show to use its original title on the Advanced tab of the show.
Alternatively you can simply overwrite the title on the show’s General tab
I take it your Series is labeled correctly right?

Looking https://watch.plex.tv/show/cleddau I see the title is called “The One That Got Away”. So I went and checked the title over at tmdb The One That Got Away (TV Series 2024- ) — The Movie Database (TMDB) and can see the translated name for the title has been entered as “The One That Got Away”.
This is most likely why plex is using that name. I don’t think plex supports welsh as a language (at least I don’t see it on the language drop down for a library) but I’m certainly open to correction on that. Your best workaround is to enter the title manually in plex itself for the show.
Thanks for the prompt replies everyone. I am not surprised that Plex does not support Welsh. All the files are correct named. I was able to edit the name show’s General tab.
I’m not sure why the show title would be changed in English. he show is set in Pembrokeshire in West Wales where I grew up. The Cleddau is the largest river in the area & the large bridge over the river connecting the north & south of the county is a major landmark. Cleddau Bridge - Wikipedia
Feel free to change it yourself over at tmdb. However, I’d suggest to create a report at the same time explaining why you changed it in case a moderator gets snarky about it being changed.
Looking at the change log at tmdb it was added on the 14th Oct by another user (non moderator) so would be good to get it right.
