Player Version#: Samsung TV
Since a week my Samsung TV shows an indefinite circle of death and the message “checking connection speed to …” in the right top corner when I try to play a video via Plex.
My Plex Server runs in a docker container on my Synology NAS. It has plenty of memory, a large cache, optimized transcoder settings, … and nothing has changed in my configuration recently.
All other devices (web on Windows PC, iPhone, …) are working fine. None of my videos (different codecs and formats) are working on my Samsung TV. The same content was also playing fine some weeks ago.
In the Samsung Plex app the setting “H264 maximum level” had default value “5.1 recommended”. It try to change it to “5.2” but this doesn’t make a difference.
Is there a bug since a recent update of the Plex Server or the Samsung Plex app?
