Checking connection speed problem

I am getting the checking connection speed. Yellow circle spinning and nothing happening. This software is so infuriating. Can they ever not break it with an update?

Are you streaming locally or remotely?

Which Plex client(s) are you using?

If available in the Plex client app settings, disable Adjust Automatically and Quality Suggestions. Look in the Quality or Video Quality section.

If streaming remotely, you may need to set a remote streaming speed limit depending on the available bandwidth between the client and the Plex server.

I was streaming locally and all was hard wired. The fix for me was to turn wifi on for both the TV and the server while still keeping them hardwired.

I fully share in your frustration. All too often these days, Plex reminds me of the affordable care act website roll out. Years of development, billions of dollars in custom software procurement. Only to turn on a nation wide federal website that was nonfunctional for months. All that Plex pass users want is a server that can consistently perform as it should, without having to have a degree in coding.
