I normally find that when scheduling a recording, the ‘Add to Library’ option is correct for what I want, i.e. TV or Movie, but I just tried to schedule a recording for a TV program and the pop up only offer Movie libraries.
I realise that Plex uses some sort of content type flag to try and offer the appropriate library, but in this case it is wrong. A more general problem is that some users may simply want it stored in a different library. It should be their choice.
In my case, this is actually a new special (long) episode of a TV series, but I am being prevented from storing it the correct TV library. Plex is FORCING me to record it to a Movie library.
The current method is usually ok, but we should be allowed to override this and pick the library WE want it recorded to. Something like hold down Alt/Opt when clicking the popup and it lists ALL libraries. Just a plain click would get the current default of the libraries Plex thinks is correct.
This would allow everyone to always be able to select the recipient library they want, without encumbering those for whom Plex’s choice is correct.
Or have I missed something? Is there already a way to force the popup to list ALL libraries?
