Choose Music Transcode Bitrate on Mobile Clients

I would really love to see an option on my Android client to choose a bitrate for music to be transcoded at, so that my server doesn’t steam FLAC files to me and kill my mobile data usage. I would still like to have the original file streamed if I’m on my home network.

I simply can’t believe this hasn’t been done by the Plex team already…

Would love this feature - it would allow me to retire my Subsonic Server that I use for mobile music playback!

Would be great if it cached 1 or 2 songs ahead in the playlist too. That way the tunes keep flowing even if you go into a tunnel or momentarily lose cellular connection.
