Way back when I had multiple versions of the same movie or TV show episode wit different resolutions (like one for 720p and one with 1080p) Plex would ask me which version I want to play when hitting the play button. Now it seems to choose the highest resolution version automatically. I seem to remember there was an option for this somewhere but I can’t find it. Any clues for me?
Thanks
This is generally under something called Play Version, which is not under the default “Play” option. The default “Play” strictly plays the highest resolution of the media that is shared, or fits the client resolution/bitrate settings.
You should see a “Play Version” but might have to hunt around for it a bit. They seem to be in various places, depending on which device you are using.
Hm ok. I’ve been looking but couldn’t find anything in the clients I use (Android, nVidia Shield, PMP). Will keep looking.
Never mind, I found it - On all the clients
Thank you!
