Choosing OS for plex mini pc?

Hi

I am going to chage my HP mini pc in to a plex client.
While i was looking for the best OS to run plex on, i stumbled upon Plex Embedded.
I also noticed that the last build is from 26 oktober 2017, does this mean it is not supported anymore?
What about direct play support?

I just cant find any good info about Plex Embedded, like what are the pros & cons VS Openelec or windows?

There are newer developer builds available.
Try if you can access https://nightlies.plex.tv/plexmediaplayer-openelec/dist-ninja-2.33.0/2.33.1.981-c4087ea7/

thx for the reply

I cannot access the dev builds because i cant sign in.

Try https://nightlies.plex.tv/public-test/plexmediaplayer/embedded-testing/ instead

great,

this link works, thx

are there any pro or cons using Embedded?

With ‘embedded’, you should know your way around a basic Linux system if you need to adapt some of its settings.
It is based on LibreElec, btw.

With Windows, you have the advantage of using a familiar environment, but it comes at the price of having to maintain it with the same effort as any other Windows installation.
And it may require a slightly more powerful hardware, so that Windows’ many background processes don’t interfere too much with the media playback in the foreground.
