Embedded

With PMP being EOL will there be anymore support for embedded aka PI?

Unfortunately no as Plex has decided to EOL PMP across all platforms including Embedded by January 2020

So there will be no client for embedded devices? Not even the new uno stuff?

Nope, so do what they want you to and go buy a streaming device like the rest of the sheeple!

Not buying anymore hardware.

Guess you’re out of luck then.

Dont update your server version anymore and itll continue to work.

i think the plex need to keep the embedded stuff, because i don’t need whole bunch of stuff with windows desktop just to watching movies.

I’m in full agreement. PMP embedded is the only reason I pay for plex pass and am a plex user. The pi3 is a great device to just plug and play. No worrying about expensive upgrades in the future if Roku or Nvidia decide to stop supporting a device. No having to use another remote or loading another interface to then load plex (which is the only thing I’d want to use). No need to buy an expensive smart tv and put up with terrible performance because of it’s poor specifications. Just use a dumb TV and a £40 pi, simple.

Plex should have PMP embedded added to NOOBS and see the increase in plex pass purchases. As the EOL has been ceased could we please have a version of embedded for the pi4?

Agreed. I got a pi2 when they first released the embedded. They then stopped updating which was quite irritating. I’ve used an unofficial build on a pi2 and it’s fine but the recent interface sucks. They need to bring it back with uno!
