Player Version#:chromecast
This is strange on my server the tv shows files are in the library called TV Shows
When I look in my chromecast they are in the Movies library.
Similarly the movies are in the library called Movies on the server
On the chromecast app they are in the TV Shows library
Has anyone seen this before?
You can’t view libraries like that on a regular chromecast. Are you using the Chromemcast/Google TV device? have you tried resetting customizations?
Yes it is the chromecast/google tv device.
What I mean is the menu on the side that displays when you press the home button
If i select the “movies” menu item on the tv it displays the contents of the "TV Shows"library from the server complete with appropriate display filters and visa versa for the “TV Shows” item on the chromecast/tv menu it displays the content from the “movies” library.
Where do you mean to reset customizations, server or client. An where in the client can you do that
As I said it displays the correct libraries on the server
in the client when “HOME” is highlighted move left and select the three dots. there will be an option to reset all customizations which will then ask you which libraries/sources you want pinned to sidebar
I restarted the server and the tv and it made no difference, then I realised maybe the chromecast is not rebooting with the tv.
So I unplugged the power from the Chromecast device and restarted it and now everything is back where it should be…
