Using Chromecast, PMS is transcoding every audio track regardless of the type, AAC 5.1, AC-3 5.1, DTS 5.1 to 2 channel AAC.
This is a recent change, don’t know if a Plex update, or Chromecast update, or both is causing the issue, but I’d like to learn how configure the system to do something else, like play in 5.1. I have no problem getting 5.1 by casting Netflix or Amazon video. There are other posts about this in other areas of the forum and not a single response from Plex people.
So, have added to the ‘DLNA client preferences’ and now direct play is working:

This is fine for AAC or AC3 audio, but for DTS audio, the stream fails because Direct Play can’t support it, I get that as the chromecast can’t support that DTS audio stream, so it should be transcoded.
Is it possible to do selective transcoding from the chromecast profile?
