I know there are a bunch of threads on this but they have all been closed or gone stale and i have read through and tried everything i saw. When casting from the android app to a Chromecast Ultra (FW#: 1.42.193786) i cannot get anything but 2 channel audio.
If i cast from the web app then connect my android app to that session its 5.1.
i have audio passthrough in the app set to HDMI
all streaming settings are set to use the max
i have tried several chromecast.xml files with no success
i have removed the xml profiles completely with no success
i have tried multiple different files with DTS,AAC,EAC,AC3 in 5.1 and 7.1 and it always converts to AAC stereo
Every other streaming or chromecast app has no issue sending 5.1.
I have no idea what else to even try, i see tons of people saying it works… what am i doing wrong?
