Every couple days when starting the Plex app on chromecast (Android TV OS Ver 10, kernel 4.9,180), the only user that shows is my account and not my other family accounts. I have to log out of my account and log back in and re-link the account to get the other accounts to show again. Any suggestions on how to stop this from reoccurring?
Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830

If you only see your user, that means the app has lost the connection to plex.tv to retrieve your list of users. My guess is that the Plex app is not closing on that device so the next time you use it, it reuses old cached information instead of checking with plex.tv. Try force stopping the app, wait 30 seconds, and restart. If that works, then my theory is on the right track.
I’ll try that the next time it happens. I can confirm at rare times plex is definitely not properly closing, as audio from plex continues outside of the app. I recall discussing an issue like this with Orca regarding the Samsung app a few years back, and he/she had cited something similar, whenever the plex app could not reach plex.tv, such as an internet outage, it would default to the main user account only and you’d have to reinstall the app to fix it in that case. I have not seen this happen in any relation to internet outages on the chromecast, and I monitor my connection and get notifications. I suppose this might be more of a bugfix request then. If “Home Users” are added to the account, might it fix this on all devices to cache all users?
Right now, when a client can’t reach plex.tv, it will default to the last user that signed in, not necessarily the admin. Showing all users and being able to switch to them requires authenticating that user, which can’t be done if plex.tv isn’t reachable. Plex is investigating ways to improve this, in the future but there is nothing to share at this time.
I had it happen again tonight, so tried your suggestion to force close the app and even restarted the chromecast, but it still required me to logout of my account and back in to get all users to appear. I confirmed there wasn’t an issue on the server and plex.tv was accessible, so I’m not sure this issue has anything to do with the suggested cause.
To add to the annoyance, I have to re-setup my home preferences every time I do this, which is annoying on plex for google tv on chromecast because the libraries aren’t shown by title created only by type, so, for example, I have 6 libraries of “movies” having various titles, such as toddler movies, kids, etc. So to remove the ones I don’t want to show on my screen I have to write down the order and use the clunky menu to try and remove the right ones. If you delete the wrong one, it appears you can’t add it back unless you remove all customization and start over fresh. Just a pain.
